Best places to visit in India with friends: Chapter 1

The human life is all about making memories and exploring new dimensions and what could be better than doing both the things at the same time. Yes, we are talking about travelling with your gang. From the adrenaline rush of trying some adventure to just relaxing on the beach everything becomes better when you have your friends by your side. So, today I will list down my top 10 favorite Indian destinations which are a must visit for every friend circle:

1. Alleppey (or Alappuzha)

Also known as the “Venice of the East” serves as the perfect destination for a group which prefers a laid back holiday. The serenity and calmness of the place takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and adds to the beauty of the place. Enjoying steaming hot dosai/sea food while relaxing in a houseboat with your friends in Kerala backwaters is once in a lifetime experience. From being home to longest lake in India to clean beaches where you can even spot dolphins if you are lucky enough, Alleppey won’t disappoint you. Thus, Alleppey serves as a perfect destination to detox from the city life recalling the old memories while creating new ones.

2. Tosh

For the adventure junkies of the group one of the most famous treks of the country, Kheerganga starts from Kasol (near Tosh) along with various other smaller treks. While North Goa caters to the party animal and shopper in you, South Goa serves you with laid back beaches. For the adventure junkies, Goa offers a plethora of water adventure sports to choose from and you can always try your luck at some of the casinos. So, if ever your group finds it difficult to decide a place to visit then pack your bags and head straight to Goa.

4. Coorg

5. Rann of Kutch

For groups looking to experience something other than the beaches and the mountains this is the place to be. One of the greatest salt desert in the world is located in close proximity to the India-Pakistan border. A part of the place remains immersed under water during the rainy season and when water dries out you can see white salt covering the land for as far as the eyes can see. A perfect place to plan a bike trip to through the vibrant cities of Gujrat, the Great Rann of Kutch will provide you with an experience of a lifetime. It is also a home to the very famous Rann Utsav which serves as an amalgamation of colours and cultures. So, for groups out there who are neither mountain people and nor beach people this is a place to head out to.

Must Visit Places: Dholavira, Mandavi beach, Rann Utsav, Narayan Sarovar and Koteshwar

Best Time to Visit: November to February (Time of Rann Utsav)
